Kameoka City flourished as the castle town of Kameyama Castle ruled by Mitsuhide Akechi. Nowadays it is a popular tourist destination with many historic sites, including the Hozu River rafting and Yunohana hot spring village.
Torokko Kameoka Station is a convenient base for enjoying local sightseeing activities such as riding the sightseeing horse carriage or rafting on the Hozu River, both conveniently accessible directly from the station. There is also a parking lot in front of the station for the exclusive use by our passengers for your leisure and convenience.

kame-no-an

Kame-no-an' is a shop located at the starting station 'Torokko Kameoka Station' on the Kameoka side of the Torokko train line. The store, which handles souvenirs and light food and drinks, is situated in a charming wooden deck-style station that makes the most of its scenic location overlooking the tranquil rural landscape of Kameoka. We have a variety of original Torokko magnets and other souvenirs that will serve as memories of your ride on the Torokko train. Additionally, we offer special ice cream and snacks that can be enjoyed on the Torokko train.
*Transportation IC cards and credit cards can be used at the Torokko merchandise store!

maison macha café

The "maison macha café" is located on the first floor of the Torokko Kameoka Station. It is a great place to enjoy a light meal accompanied by the lovely view of the scenery of the quiet Kameoka, best enjoyed before or after riding the Sagano Romantic Train.
